A South Yorkshire Collector

Helen, from South Yorkshire shares her collection with the Museum which respects her otherwise anonymity! Some carrot people are just plain shy.

The favourite item is a papier mache carrot from Chatsworth House shop which was the one that started it all. Other items include kitchenware, tableware, crockery, ornaments, chocolates and glassware.

Here are a couple of pictures of the collection. (click on photos for larger image)

This is the bulk of it, but there are also various satellite collections around her house. The collection started about 10 years ago and there are pieces from all round Europe, some from the United States and one from Japan.

Helen says Sweden and the Czech republic seem to be the best places to pick stuff up.
